About this site
Tanjung Papaya lies along the coastline of North Sulawesi near Manado, on the stretch of coast facing the Bunaken area of Indonesia. Dive operations based in Manado run boat trips out to points along this coast. The site has a sand bottom and reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres, rated as an advanced dive. Divers have reported deep water and rough currents here, so conditions can turn challenging, and nudibranchs and octopus have also been spotted along the sand.
