About this site
Tasi Tolu is a coastal area west of Dili, the capital of Timor-Leste, known for its shallow lakes set near the shoreline of the Timor Sea, with dive access generally arranged from Dili itself, a short drive to the east. The reef here is a beginner site reaching a maximum depth of around 18 metres. Dugongs and nudibranchs are found on the reef, and divers have also reported frogfish, ghost pipefish and ornate ghost pipefish, mimic octopus and octopus, pipehorses, seahorses, and snapper.
