About this site
Möhnesee is a reservoir lake in the Arnsberg area of the Sauerland region in North Rhine-Westphalia, formed by the Möhne dam completed in 1913. The Taucherbucht, or diver's bay, is one of the spots along its shoreline used for freshwater diving training and recreation, and it is rated a beginner site. The lake sits inland in a hilly, wooded landscape typical of the Sauerland, well away from the coast.
