About this site
Tawharanui sits on a peninsula in Rodney, north of Auckland on New Zealand's North Island, within a marine reserve on the Hauraki Gulf side of the coast. The reserve protects a stretch of rocky reef and coastline that is popular with snorkellers and divers exploring from shore.
