About this site
The Canyon lies off the Gold Coast of southeast Queensland, in the waters near the Point Danger and Tweed area where the coastline forms a natural boundary between Queensland and New South Wales. Dive sites in this stretch are typically reached by boat from local operators working out of the Gold Coast or nearby Tweed Heads. It is a beginner dive reaching a maximum depth of around 16 metres, with good visibility. Divers have reported dolphins, nudibranchs, sea turtles, and wobbegongs around the site.
