About this site
The De La Salle lies off New Providence in the Bahamas, in the waters near Nassau where the Great Bahama Bank meets deeper ocean channels. Divers here have reported a mix of reef fish, including Atlantic sergeant majors, bar jacks, Caribbean bluehead wrasse, Caribbean sharpnose puffers, grey angelfish, slippery dicks, and stoplight parrotfish moving over the site. The surrounding area is known for its steep drop-offs, where the shallow bank gives way abruptly to deep water.
