About this site
The Nipple is a striking pinnacle off San Clemente Island, rising from the Pacific's depths. Its steep walls are covered in vibrant strawberry anemones and colorful gorgonians. Schools of rockfish and calico bass swirl around the structure, while lobsters hide in crevices. Strong currents bring pelagic visitors like mako sharks. Visibility is often excellent, but surge can be challenging. The site suits advanced divers due to depth and exposure. The dramatic drop-offs and rich marine life make it a standout dive in the Channel Islands.
