About this site
This stretch of the English Channel runs along the West Sussex shoreline, taking in the coastal waters off towns such as Worthing, Shoreham-by-Sea, and Brighton. The seabed here is largely shingle and chalk reef, and numerous wartime and merchant shipwrecks lie scattered across this part of the Channel. Access is typically by boat from harbours along this coast, including Shoreham and Littlehampton.
