About this site
Thirasia is the smaller island facing Santorini across the flooded caldera, west of the main island in the Cyclades. The waters here drop steeply along the caldera wall, reflecting the volcanic collapse that shaped the whole bay, and the village of Riva sits on the island's eastern shore facing that submerged rim.
