About this site
Toblolong is a pinnacle site off the coast of Timor in the Lesser Sunda Islands, within the broader Savu Sea area known for strong currents funneling between the islands and Flores. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated an intermediate dive, though divers have described it as demanding precise timing with the tides, since currents here can run strong and the site is considered tide dependent and potentially dangerous when conditions are wrong. Manta rays are a regular sighting at the pinnacle, and divers have also reported barracuda, eagle rays, frogfish, fusiliers, trevally, and unicornfish around the site.
