About this site
Toucari Caves lies off the village of Toucari on the northwest coast of Dominica, near Douglas Bay in the Caribbean Sea. This stretch of coastline is known for its steep volcanic terrain dropping quickly into deep water just offshore. Divers here have reported flamefish along with masked, pallid, and rusty gobies tucked into the rock and crevices, while blue land crabs, Caribbean land hermit crabs, and mangrove root crabs have also been spotted around the shoreline and cave entrances.
