About this site

Turtle Cove sits near Carp Island in Palau's Rock Islands, a limestone archipelago in the western Pacific known for its labyrinth of small forested islets and sheltered channels. Carp Island lies within this cluster southwest of Koror, an area reached by boat through the Rock Islands' protected waters. The wall here runs to a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Divers have reported barracuda, eagle rays, manta rays, nudibranchs, reef sharks, and sea turtles along the site, and during triggerfish nesting season some divers have noted aggressive behavior from the fish guarding their nests.
