About this site
Uganzaki Kasumi no Ne (御神崎カスミの根) is a pinnacle site off Uganzaki on Ishigaki Island in the Yaeyama Islands, Okinawa, dived at depths of 10 to 20 m, with current that is strong at times. The pinnacle is known for its pyramid butterflyfish, with yellowtail fusiliers, sleek unicornfish, anthias and scalefin anthias, and manta rays and sea turtles also pass through. It is dived from May to September under east to south-east winds.
