About this site
Um Magawish sits off Giftun Island in the Red Sea near Hurghada, Egypt, reached by boat from the mainland resorts. The site belongs to a stretch of reef and fringing coral formations scattered around the Giftun island chain that Hurghada's dive boats regularly visit. Divers here have also reported barracuda passing along the reef, along with nudibranchs tucked among the coral.
