About this site
Vanhuravalhi Kandu is a channel dive in Meemu Atoll, one of the less frequently visited atolls in the central Maldives. Like other kandus in the region, it connects the inner atoll lagoon to the open sea, creating a drift dive shaped by the tidal exchange through the pass. It reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is rated an intermediate dive. The site is typically reached by dhoni from local resorts or liveaboards operating in Meemu.
