About this site
Vieques Wall lies off Vieques, the island municipality east of the Puerto Rican mainland, in the waters where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic. This part of the Puerto Rican shelf drops off into deeper water along its southern and eastern edges, which is typically where wall-type dive sites in the region are found. The site tops out at around 18.3 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have also reported dugong sightings here, though that is not something typically expected in Caribbean waters.
