About this site
Voidokilia is a beach and cove on the southwestern coast of the Peloponnese in Greece, near Pylos in the Messinia region. Its distinctive round bay, formed by a curving sweep of sand backed by dunes, sits close to the Bay of Navarino and the Gialova lagoon. The area is known for its combination of coastal and archaeological interest, with the ruins linked to ancient Pylos and Nestor's cave nearby on the surrounding limestone hills. The reef here is a beginner dive to around 16 metres, and divers have reported octopus among the rocks.
