Vortex Spring is a freshwater spring located near Ponce de Leon in the Florida Panhandle, a popular inland dive and training site built around a spring basin that feeds into a cavern system. It draws both open water divers staying in the shallower basin and cavern and cave divers who follow the training lines into the deeper passages beyond. Its clear spring water and controlled access have made it a common site for certification courses and cave training in the region. The open basin is rated a beginner dive to around 15.2 metres, with the cavern and cave passages beyond offering more demanding options for those trained for them.
