About this site
Wangdolcho (왕돌초) is a large offshore seamount about 23 km east of Hupo harbour in Uljin, roughly 15 km2 in extent. Three peaks (Bukjjam, Jungjjam, Namjjam) rise to 3-10 m and the surrounding bottom falls quickly to 40-60 m, steepest on the western side. Cold- and warm-water species mix here with oceanic fish; it is an advanced boat dive that depends on a calm sea for the long crossing.
