About this site
Weda Reef sits off Weda Bay on the east coast of Halmahera Island in Maluku province, eastern Indonesia. This part of Halmahera faces the Halmahera Sea and is reached by boat from small coastal settlements along the bay. The reef reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres, and divers have reported manta rays passing through the site.
