About this site
Weissensee lies in Carinthia in southern Austria, in the district of Spittal an der Drau, and is known as one of the highest lying and cleanest large lakes in the region. Its alpine setting and cold, clear water have made it a spot for freshwater lake diving rather than marine diving. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 5 metres and is rated a beginner dive, making it an easy, shallow entry point into the lake's diving.
