About this site
West End Reef lies near Illa de l'Aire, a small islet off the southeastern coast of Menorca in the Balearic Islands, close to the town of Punta Prima. The area sits at the meeting point of coastal Menorcan waters and the open Mediterranean, with a scattering of rocky reef formations around the islet reached by short boat trips from the nearby coast. Divers here have reported marbled crabs tucked into the rocks, mauve stinger jellyfish drifting past in open water, and snakelocks anemones along the reef.
