About this site

West Rubiah sits off Pulau Rubiah, a small island in the strait between Weh Island and the northern tip of Sumatra, near Banda Aceh. This is part of the Sabang marine protected area, a popular base for divers visiting the northernmost stretch of Indonesia. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres, with a sloping reef that gives divers a range of depths to work with on a single dive.
