About this site
Whale Rock lies off Mactan Island in Cebu, part of the cluster of dive sites along the island's coast that serve the resorts and dive operators based there. Mactan sits in the Visayas region of the central Philippines, facing the Cebu Strait, with numerous small boat-accessible reef sites scattered along its shoreline. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 40 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Divers have also reported barracuda and even whale sharks passing through here.
