About this site
Windmill Beach lies on the Cape Peninsula near Simon's Town, close to Boulders Beach on the False Bay side of Cape Town. It is a small, sheltered cove that offers an easy shore entry over a sandy bottom, with depths reaching around 9 metres, making it a beginner-friendly dive. Divers here commonly find nudibranchs and octopus among the rocks and sand. Divers have also reported a rabies outbreak among the local seal population, worth keeping in mind given the seals that frequent this stretch of False Bay.
