Wreck of the Gamma

The Wreck of the Gamma lies off Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands, reachable within a short run from the island's dive centers along its coastline. It sits in shallow water with a maximum depth of around 3 metres, resting on a wreck bottom, and is rated a beginner dive, making it an easy, relaxed site to explore. Divers here have reported Atlantic blue tang, Caribbean bluehead wrasse, and Caribbean sharpnose puffers moving around the structure, along with stoplight parrotfish and longspine squirrelfish. Lobed star coral and mustard hill coral have also been noted growing over the wreckage. The shallow depth keeps the site well lit and suited to unhurried exploration.
