About this site
Xiandao Hu (仙岛湖), the Wangying Reservoir in Yangxin county 140 km from Wuhan, is a freshwater lake with more than a thousand islands, dived in 10–30 m. Visibility is 5–10 m all year, with thick weed beds, schools of small fish and river shrimp and the occasional large fish. All levels dive here; June to October brings 26 °C water, and a drysuit or extra layer is needed the rest of the year.
