About this site
Zakrzówek is a flooded former limestone quarry within Krakow, in Poland's Lesser Poland region, now surrounded by a public park and cliffs on the city's southern side. The quarry stopped operating in the twentieth century and gradually filled with water, creating a lake that has become a popular local swimming and diving spot. It sits close to residential districts such as Debniki, making it an easy urban site to reach without a boat.
