About this site
Zembra Island sits in the Mediterranean off the northern coast of Tunisia, at the entrance to the Gulf of Tunis near Cap Bon. It is a steep, rocky island surrounded by deep water and forms the core of a national park protecting its surrounding marine environment. Diving around Zembra typically takes place on the rocky slopes and drop-offs fringing the island, reached by boat from the nearby Tunisian coast. Divers here have also reported hammerhead sharks and thresher sharks in the waters around the island.
