The Adelaide Baker is a shipwreck on Coffins Patch Reef in the Florida Keys, lying about four miles south-southeast of Duck Key. She was a three-masted, iron-rigged bark with a reinforced wooden hull, and she ran aground on 28 January 1889 because of a navigational error while carrying sawn timber from the Florida Keys to Savannah, Georgia.
The wreckage now lies scattered across a quarter-mile area in approximately 20 feet (6 metres) of water. The shallow depth makes this a gentle site suited to beginners.
Today the remains provide a habitat for gorgonians, sponges and colourful encrusting corals. Like the other wrecks on the reef, the vessel now works as an artificial reef, giving corals and sponges something to attach to and shelter for fish.
