Airplane Wreck is a sunken aircraft dive site located in the Moalboal area of the Philippines, where the wreck has settled on the seabed and gradually taken on the characteristics of a natural coral reef.
The plane's superstructure remains stable and largely intact, with internal caverns and tunnels that form protected passages through the wreck. These sheltered spaces provide habitat for invertebrates and a wide variety of marine organisms, effectively creating a new reef around and within the aircraft's frame.
Divers can move through the caverns and tunnels while observing the reef colonisation process from a safe distance, making this a site that combines the appeal of a wreck dive with the ecological interest of an emerging reef community.
