Blue Moon is a boat dive and a favourite site, where you drift through a soup of fish across a landscape with underwater canyons. Sponges of spectacular size are scattered around and all kinds of hard corals grow here.
Sharks, morays, large Napoleon wrasse, stingrays and sometimes bull rays turn up. The 5 metre safety stop is surrounded by thousands of small multicoloured reef fish.
The site is rated intermediate on a wall with a light current and good visibility, to about 30 metres. Early mornings with light current are best for large schools, and the water is 26 to 30°C.
