Bouy Line lies off Panama's Bocas del Toro archipelago, in the western Caribbean near the coordinates given. This stretch of coast is known for scattered reef and cay sites, typically reached by short boat trips from towns around the archipelago. As a drift site it reaches a maximum depth of around 16 metres, and despite that shallow range it is rated an advanced dive, likely reflecting current conditions along the line. Divers here have reported angular brittle stars, banded coral shrimp, blue land crabs, branched finger coral, red cushion sea stars, and striped parrotfish along the reef.
