Cheeca Rocks is a shallow patch reef off Islamorada in the Florida Keys, with dense coral growth across a very shallow field of coral. Depths run from 6 to 25 feet (1.8 to 7.6 metres), so bottom times can be long.
Large brain corals are a feature of the reef. Blue chromis, parrotfish, snappers, damselfish and sergeant majors live here, along with plenty of juvenile fish. It is rated as a beginner dive, and currents can run strong.
