Chumphon Pinnacle is a submerged granite pinnacle off Koh Tao in the Gulf of Thailand, and one of the island's best-known dive sites. It ranges in depth from about 14 metres to just over 30 metres, with soft coral covering the rock. It suits advanced open water divers and above.
Large schools of barracuda, trevally and fusiliers swirl around the pinnacle, and white-eyed moray eels live in the rock. It is one of the best places around Koh Tao to meet a whale shark, mostly in the warmer months from about April to June, and the season here runs a little later than at Sail Rock. Leopard sharks and manta rays have also been seen.
The pinnacle is the most exposed site around Koh Tao, with a medium current and a steep drop-off. Water temperature is 27 to 30°C.
