The Crack is a wall dive named for a deep fissure that cuts down the face of the reef from about 15 m (50 ft) to around 30 m (100 ft). The crevice is wide enough for divers to swim down and is adorned with whip corals, with a striking anemone found at 24 m (80 ft). The maximum depth of the site is 24 m.
The wall terrain is dramatic, with the crack itself forming the defining structural feature. Large grouper and snapper tend to congregate inside the fissure among black coral and deep-water gorgonians, while reef sharks can be seen patrolling in open water from this position. Spotted eagle rays are also regularly encountered here, and the site holds a broad range of invertebrates that can vary noticeably from dive to dive.
There is always a reasonable chance of shark and spotted eagle ray sightings at this site, making it appealing to divers comfortable on a wall and interested in larger marine life.
