Fish Den is a reef dive site off Roatan, Honduras, named for the abundance of reef fish that inhabit it, including an optional swimthrough that divers explore as a "den" full of marine life. The site sits on a shallow plateau that also offers a quick trip to the wall for divers wanting to practice neutral buoyancy at greater relief.
The maximum depth is 18.3 m (60 ft), and the terrain combines an easy-to-navigate shallow plateau with access to the wall and a swimthrough feature. The bottom is reef, and the site is rated suitable for beginners, with light current and protected exposure keeping conditions calm and manageable.
Fish Den is a reliable spot for spotting juvenile fish, blennies, spotted drums, crabs, grouper, trumpetfish, parrotfish, trunkfish, and banded shrimp. The site is also noted as a good night dive, with the route back to the mooring being straightforward and plenty of activity after dark.
Water temperature ranges from 25–29°C (78–84°F) and visibility is generally excellent. The site is accessed by boat, with a mooring in place, and the easy navigation and light current make it appropriate for newly certified divers building early skills. The optional swimthrough provides useful buoyancy practice in a confined space without committing to a more challenging overhead environment.
