About this site
Flamingo Bay is a fringing reef within the Grenada Marine Park, with a dive profile of 5 to 18 metres. The water is protected, visibility is good, and the reef runs along a slope that ends in a wall.
Fish life is dense. Blue clouds of chromis glide along the slope, big-eyed squirrelfish and shy jackknife fish hide in the crannies, and Creole wrasse, parrotfish and butterflyfish are everywhere. Groupers, jacks and rays lurk toward the bottom of the wall, which is encrusted with whip coral, colourful sponges and sea fans. The shallow, protected reefs of the bay are also good for snorkelling.
