Honolua Bay is a rocky bay on the northwestern tip of Maui, hidden behind tall cliffs. It sits in the Honolua-Mokule'ia Bay Marine Life Conservation District, where fishing is strictly prohibited, and the fish are abundant and colourful.
There are no sandy beaches. The bay is rich in corals and sponges and holds many fish species, along with barracuda, tropical fish, manta rays and turtles.
Getting in is a very long walk with a long swim out. Conditions are protected in summer.
