Ka Osting, also called East Garden, is a muck dive on the northeast side of Malapascua, about 15 minutes by boat. A sloping reef leads to a sandy and rocky bottom littered with coral bommies. Depths run from 6 to 15 m, and the maximum is around 16 m. It is open to Open Water divers and student divers, and current is usually absent.
Slowly cruising over the sand turns up ghost pipefish, frogfish, dragonets and mantis shrimp. Pygmy seahorses and hairy shrimp are among the smallest finds. Squat lobsters and porcelain crabs hide on the bottom, and nudibranchs are plentiful. Fire urchins, zebra crabs and dwarf lionfish are also seen, and sea stars race across the sand toward the site's unusual sea urchins. It is a popular night dive.
