La Cocina is a reef dive at Isla Cocinas, an island in the tranquil Chamela Bay on the Pacific coast of Mexico, with depths from 1 to 20 metres. It is a popular shore dive from a secluded, protected beach.
The water is clear, with gentle currents and good visibility. Garden eels, jawfish and eagle rays are seen here, and manta rays and schools of tropical fish have also been sighted. Divers can swim alongside sea turtles and explore the natural reefs nearby.
