Los Anegados is a rocky bank lying halfway between Marietas and El Morro, near Punta de Mita. The bank begins at around 9 metres (30 feet) and gradually goes deeper, with intricate volcanic formations, caverns and canyons.
The rocky geography makes a hiding place for both large and small creatures, and divers can see eagle rays and moray eels, and sometimes nurse sharks. Strong currents are possible, and together with the depth they make this site suitable for experienced divers only.
