Madivaru Corner is a reef on Rasdhoo Atoll in the Maldives, just in front of Madivaru island and about ten minutes by boat. It has superb overhangs at 26 to 30 metres before a steep drop-off.
The dive is at its best when the current runs along the reef on the right shoulder and into the atoll. Divers hold onto dead coral on the drop-off at around 18 metres and let the show come to them rather than swimming. The current can be medium to very strong.
Grey reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks, eagle rays, napoleon wrasse, shoals of barracuda and jackfish are regular sightings, and giant trevally and dogtooth tuna chase baitfish here.
