The Office is a reef dive site located approximately 15 km north of Tofo Beach, Mozambique, reached by a 25–35 minute boat ride. It sits in offshore waters and is considered a classic of the northern sites in the area. The depth runs from 21–26 m, with a maximum of 30 m, and the terrain features a sandy bowl beside a cleaning area, reef with large overhangs, and a profile that is slightly shallower than some neighbouring deep sites.
The dive begins with a descent through schools of Redtooth Triggerfish and Surgeonfish into the sandy bowl, then moves south with the current past the cleaning area. Jenkins, Marble, and Honeycomb Rays are regular sightings in the sand, and the large overhangs are worth checking for resting animals. The reef holds numerous Moray Eel species, including Giant and Honeycomb Morays, along with Groupers, Wrasses, and Triggerfish. Both Loggerhead and Green Turtles are found here. White Tip Reef Sharks and Grey Reef Sharks patrol the site frequently, Leopard Sharks appear regularly during the summer months, and the site offers strong chances of encountering Humpback Whales on scuba during the whale season (June to September). Shark activity is best from November to March. Water temperature ranges from 22–29°C.
The site is offshore and consequently visibility is often better here than at inshore sites. Current can be strong, and entry is by negative entry, making The Office suitable for Advanced-certified divers only. The dive is typically conducted as a drift, moving south with the current.
