Oreste is a wreck dive off Budva in Montenegro. The steamer lies about 3 nautical miles from Budva, 10 to 15 minutes by boat, near the beach gap. It rests on a sandy bottom at around 30 to 32 m.
Explosion damage split the ship in half, and the two parts lie about 20 m apart. In the summer months the contours of the wreck can often be seen from about 10 m down.
Visibility averages 15 to 20 m. The temperature at the bottom in summer is between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius. Fish found on the wreck are the common species that gather around wrecks.
The site needs at least an Open Water certificate, and Open Water divers can only dive it as part of the Adventure program. Advanced Open Water and Deep Diver certification also qualify.
