Paradise Point lies off Pura, a small island in the Lesser Sunda chain of Indonesia, in the waters between Alor and Pantar. This part of the archipelago sits within a channel known for strong currents linking the Savu Sea to the Banda Sea, and boats to sites around Pura typically run out of the Alor region. The reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres, over a reef bottom, with medium current and good visibility, making it an intermediate dive. Barracuda, trevally, and tuna are regularly seen here, and divers have also reported angelfish, brush coral, Clark's anemonefish, eagle rays, fusiliers, mackerel, mantis shrimp, mimic octopus, snapper, and wobbegong sharks moving through the area. Some divers have also noted caves, walls, and areas of strong current and exposure around the site.
