Pinnacle is a boat dive in the Gordon's Bay area of South Africa. It starts at a pinnacle that is often exposed at low tide, and the route then follows the coastline.
The terrain is rock outcroppings and boulders sloping gently down to a sandy seabed at about 16 metres, with an average depth of 10 metres. The shallow depth makes it a colourful site for divers of all levels.
Nudibranchs are the main draw, with crowned, gasflame, silvertip, inkspot, coral and soft coral nudibranchs and the cape dorid all recorded. Sea fans, orange wall sponges and anemones cover the rock, and cuttlefish, seals, large octopus and puffadder shysharks are seen as well.
