Playa del Jablillo is a sheltered beach dive site on the north coast of Lanzarote, suited to beginners and to certified divers wanting to refresh their skills. The bay is naturally protected from waves and strong currents, making it one of the calmest entry points on the island.
The sandy bottom starts at 1 m depth directly from the beach and reaches a maximum of 4.5 m, giving the dive a consistently gentle profile across the whole site. Entry and exit are straightforward shore dives straight off the beach with no boat required.
Year-round residents include bream, salemas, and wrasses, all of which tend to approach divers with curiosity. Between October and February, Angel Sharks move through the bay and can be encountered roaming the sandy bottom.
The site carries no meaningful current and the sheltered aspect keeps conditions stable, making it an appropriate choice for first dives and skills practice. Its shallow maximum depth means it is accessible to beginners without advanced certification.
