Pockets

Pockets (also listed as "Taschen") is a shallow fringing reef site where wall sections packed with crevasses alternate with coral-covered slopes, creating a maximum depth of 20 m. The reef's defining feature is its many ledges and pockets in the wall, which shelter an unusually dense concentration of critters throughout the terrain.

Blue-spotted stingrays are found here in greater numbers than at comparable sites in the area, resting on the numerous ledges along the wall and slope sections. The pockets and crevasses throughout the reef host a wide variety of small marine life.

Conditions at Pockets include changing currents that can be medium in strength, which is the primary hazard divers should be prepared for. The site is rated for intermediate divers and is not suitable for complete beginners.
