Ponta Do Urso is a drift dive over a bottom of sand and rock, with a maximum depth of 15 metres. Visibility is great and the water is protected, though exposure depends on sea and weather conditions. It is a dive that works for open water divers.
Water temperatures run between 18 and 24°C and the site can be dived year-round. Divers have reported monk seals here, along with rays, barracudas and octopus, and damselfish, parrotfish, ornate wrasse, trumpetfish and triggerfish on the reef, with black coral also recorded.
Confirmed by our research team, reported by independent divers, or observed nearby via iNaturalist — each entry is labelled with its source.
